If it has to be done by a dealer, would it be covered? Airbags are mandated by federal government so would this fall on VWoA, or some kind of warranty? Car's a 2007 so I don't know much about warranty specifics but I have doubts anything would be covered anymore (It's a VW not a Kia or Hyundai). But the system is in full readiness state with no fault codes.

Wouldn't an airbag light throw a re-settable code? The ODB2 adapter and app normally work great because I've used it before to diagnose misfires (which cyl), reset light and look for it to come back after moving coils, etc. I scanned for codes using this and found nothing. I have an ELM327 OBD2 wifi adapter and Dash Command app for iPhone.

So presumably I find a loose connection and fix it, will the light go off?
